Service line 01 · Cooperative education

Cooperative education between Chinese and Spanish universities

We help Spanish universities and Chinese institutions design, launch and run joint programmes — from credit-recognition pathways to full joint colleges.

The 4+0 model

One model at a glance — what "4+0" means

"4+0" programmes let Chinese students study the full degree in China, while the qualification is jointly delivered by the Spanish university and its Chinese partner. The Spanish partner contributes the curriculum, quality assurance and a share of teaching — without needing to set up a permanent campus in China.

What this covers

Three ways we build programmes together

01

Joint colleges & joint institutes

Structuring and governance of joint colleges between a Spanish university and a Chinese university — academic model, staffing and quality assurance.

02

Curriculum co-design & credit recognition

Co-designed curricula that map cleanly between the Spanish and Chinese systems, with credit recognition agreed between the two institutions.

03

Approval & operations

End-to-end guidance through institutional and regulatory approval — including Chinese cooperative-education filing where required — from kick-off to first intake.

A typical cooperation project, step by step

  1. Opportunity & partner match

We identify the right Spanish partner and the right Chinese university — matched by discipline, level and market demand.

  2. Feasibility & business case

Enrolment potential, staffing, costs and the regulatory route are assessed together before either side commits.

  3. Design & approval

Curriculum, governance and the cooperation agreement are drafted; where required, the programme is prepared for Chinese regulatory filing and approval.

  4. Launch & operations

Recruitment in China, admissions, and the first cohort — with our team coordinating day-to-day between both institutions.

Why work with us

What we bring to a cooperation project

Regulatory familiarity on both sides

We understand how Chinese cooperative-education approval works and how Spanish universities accredit programmes — in both languages.

A university network that fits

Relationships with universities across Spain and with Chinese institutions, so the right pairing is often already within reach.

Long-term operations, not handover

We stay involved after launch — recruitment, admissions and coordination between the two institutions are our job, not yours.
